Property affordability 'at its highest since 2003'

People seeking to invest in real estate such as apartments to rent in Dorset can secure property
at its most affordable price since 2003.
This is according to new figures from Zoopla.co.uk, which show that
the average worker can now afford 58 per cent of homes in the
UK.
The firm noted that this is an increase on the 34 per cent recorded
in 2007.
However, responding to the statistics, Katy John, spokesperson for
PricedOut.org.uk, said that the government needs to do more to help
first-time buyers get on to the housing ladder.
She commented: "Whichever government gets into power at the next
election needs to do more to increase housing affordability for
first-time buyers."
The expert went on to cite a number of factors which she said would
help in this regard.
Among them was an emphasis on sensible lending policies and the
increase of home building around the country.
